The original structure of the Siddhivinayak temple was earlier quite small, measuring 3.6 m x 3.6 m square in size. The initial structure was made of bricks only, which also had a dome-shaped spire. Later this temple was rebuilt and increased in size.


Siddhivinayak Temple is counted among the richest temples in India, according to the information, this temple receives 100 million to 150 million as donation every year. The organization that oversees this temple is the richest trust in Mumbai.

It is believed that the idol of Lord Ganesha here is made of black stone, whose trunk is on the right side. Here Lord Ganesha is seated with his two wives Riddhi and Siddhi. These statues look very attractive to look at. Visiting the temple is considered auspicious.
